event focused on bringing Islanders together to work,
connect, and take care of the place we all call home.

Registration table opens at 9:00 AM
Location: Frank J. Sasso Township Hall, 29935 E Pine Street

All volunteers must check in, complete a registration form, and sign a liability waiver before participating.
​
Pre-registration is appreciated.

How to Register
Each volunteer must:

Download, print, and complete the forms in advance using the links below

Return completed forms to the Frank J. Sasso Township Hall before the event

Pick up forms at the Township Hall if you prefer to fill them out there

Or complete them at check-in starting at 9:00 AM on the day of the event
Advance registration is encouraged to help us plan activity stations and supplies.

Safety Information
Volunteers are asked to wear bright-colored clothing, especially when working near roadways.
​
All activities take place outdoors and may involve uneven terrain and varying weather conditions.
​
Minors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
​
Please follow all instructions from crew leads and coordinators throughout the event.
Overall What To Expect

Check in starting at 9:00 AM at the Community Days registration table at Frank J. Sasso Township Hall. Registration in advance is appreciated so we may organize groups.

Wear bright-colored clothing for visibility, especially near roadways

Receive your welcome bag and activity assignment

Return for a community luncheon
What We'll Be Working On
Community Clean-Up Activities:

Volunteers can choose from several activity stations:

Roadside clean-up
-
Cemetery clean-up
-
Sign removal along M-134
-
Ice rink concrete prep for future pickleball courts

Veterans Memorial clean-up and native plant garden site prep
-
Yard clean-up for elderly residents
Activities range from light clean-up to more physical work. Volunteers can choose what fits them best.
Volunteering as a Group
Organizations, clubs, and community groups are encouraged to participate together.

When registering, group members can select the same activity station so they can work as a team and represent their organization while making a difference.
Volunteer Appreciation
Welcome Bag
Every registered volunteer will receive a Community Days welcome bag at check-in, filled with a few thoughtful items to help you throughout the morning and to remember the day.
​
Afternoon Lunch
After the morning’s work, all volunteers are invited to gather for a community luncheon prepared by the Drummond Island Homemakers. Lunch will be served following the clean-up activities, providing a chance to relax, connect, and enjoy good food together. Timing TBD.
