Watch this page and our social media for updates on how you can participate in our next event. May 2, 2026 Community Days Recap Around 50 Islanders showed up on May 2 to take care of the place we all call home. Volunteers worked across the island that morning, from roadsides and ditches to the tennis courts, then gathered back at the Frank J. Sasso Township Hall for a community luncheon prepared by the Drummond Island Homemakers. The morning started at township hall with check-in, welcome bags, and a chance to catch up before heading out. From the roadsides to the tennis courts, volunteers spread out across the island to clean, sweep, and haul. After the morning's work, volunteers gathered back at the township hall for lunch prepared and served by the Drummond Island Homemakers.. A huge thank you to everyone who made this day possible. From the early brainstorming and planning to collecting registration forms, packing welcome bags, organizing groups, and hauling supplies, this took a lot of hands. A special thank you to the Beautification Committee for the months of work that went into making Community Days happen, and to the Drummond Island Homemakers for the lunch that brought everyone back together at the end of the morning. Thank you to every Islander who showed up and put in the work. This is what Community Days is about.
